🌍 Erasmus+ in France: IES Ausiàs March Students from Basic Vocational Training Explore Saint Omer

Gandía, April 2025 — Seven students from the 2nd year of Basic Vocational Training at IES Ausiàs March in Gandía, accompanied by two teachers, took part in an Erasmus+ mobility program to Saint Omer, France, from March 31 to April 6.

During their stay, the group engaged in a rich program of cultural and educational activities. They explored key landmarks in Saint Omer, including the cathedral, Sandelin Museum, public gardens, and the local theatre. At the partner school, they joined students from the Administrative Management program for collaborative classroom activities and English lessons.

The itinerary also included a day trip to Calais, where they enjoyed traditional fish and chips, and a visit to “Les Faiseurs de Bateaux,” a historic boat-making workshop. The final part of the trip took them to Paris, where they visited iconic sites such as the Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Sainte Chapelle, and Notre-Dame Cathedral.

This Erasmus+ experience offered students a unique opportunity for personal, linguistic, and professional growth, encouraging independence, teamwork, and intercultural awareness.

We celebrate the #ErasmusDays

During the week from the 14th to the 19th October, our school celebrated Erasmus Days. which aim to disseminate the Erasmus projects carried out by the centres.

Among the activities that we have carried out it highlights the inauguration Erasmus's corner, where we have exposed the projects performed the last years, the atmosphere of the school hall and the diffusion by some of the pupils of 2 BAT(year twelve) and UECO (special needs), of the projects carried out at Hassfurt and at Detmold, Germany, the previous school years.

During this course we will complete 3 students mobilities and 6 job shadowing mobilities for the teachers. We keep on performing the project at Hassfurt, for the pupils of 1 BAT (year eleven), and as a novelty we will begin two new projects; one at 3 ESO (year nine), in Brno, Czech Republic, and an other one at Saint Omer, France, for the pupils of 2 FPB (vocational trainning). In the weeks to come we will publish the call for applications and the selection criteria for each project.

IES Ausiàs March attended to Erasmus conferences in Santander

Last September 18 and 19, the Erasmus+ Vocational Training Mobility Days were held in Santander for the centers selected to participate in short-term mobility projects for students and Vocational Training staff (KA122-VET), in the call for Erasmus+ 2024. Our center has Erasmus+ accreditation in School Education which guarantees student and teacher mobility until 2027. In addition, this year we have been selected to carry out a short-term mobility project for our students of Basic Vocational Training, our center being the fourth best scored out of a total of 202 projects selected throughout Spain.

Days like these help us manage our Erasmus+ projects in the best way in order to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves and thus give added value to our internationalization process.
